Rebecca Tellez |

Carmen Leon

Rebecca is one of our dedicated teen volunteers, and her journey with St. Mary Magdalen has come full circle. She received her First Holy Communion here as a young child not so many years ago, and today, she continues to bless our parish with her faith and service.

Rebecca is an active member of the High School Schola, where she lends her beautiful soprano voice to our choir. She also serves on the Parish Respect Life Committee, showing a deep commitment to living out Catholic values.

At such a young age, Rebecca is a shining example of what it means to live your faith through love and service. We are so grateful for her joyful presence and inspiring dedication.

Carmen has been a faithful parishioner at St. Mary Magdalen for over 40 years. A devoted educator in the Camarillo public schools, she brings the same spirit of service and care to our parish community.

For most of her adult life, Carmen has served as a Eucharistic Minister and Sacristan, offering her time and dedication to the heart of our liturgical celebrations.

Her quiet, steadfast presence and commitment to both education and faith are a true blessing to our parish family.

‘I believed firmly that I have the strength for everything through him who empowers me.’  Phil 4: 13.

Deacon Pat Carman

Deacon Pat Carman is a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Church. He made his First Holy Communion right here at Saint Mary Magdalen. As a young man in his teens he assisted with catechism classes and was a proud member of the first guitar mass here at our church! Deacon Pat is a family man with three grown daughters and six grandchildren.

He was called to be a Deacon and he said, "yes". After five years of discernment and study, along with his wife Kathi, he was ordained in June 2021. He says he gets to do what brings him the most joy … serving God and serving God’s children.

Toni Rodriguez

Toni is a mother of three and grandmother of nine. She has been living in Camarillo since 1962. One of her fondest childhood memories is walking with her mother to St. Mary Magdalen Chapel for Mass.

Upon Toni’s retirement she decided it was time to give back to her church. She began volunteering in Religious Education several years ago and has become a cherished and loved member of the TEAM!

‘Train the young, in the way they should go; even when old, they will not swerve from it.’ Proverbs 22:6
